Monday’s scheduled flight marks the beginning of Operation Dove’s Wings, an Israeli government initiative to bring the remainder of the Falash Mura — Ethiopians whose ancestors converted from Judaism to Christianity — to Israel by March 2014.”
The non-stop coverage of the storm almost caused me to miss this prophetic headline. The return of Ethiopian Jews to the land is indeed the second part of a last days prophecy found in Zephaniah 3:9-10:
“For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of the Lord, To serve Him with one accord. From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, The daughter of My dispersed ones, Shall bring My offering.”1. The revival of Hebrew as an everyday language began through the efforts of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda. He joined the first Jewish movement in 1881 and developed the tools for making the literary and liturgical language everyday spoken Hebrew. This also began during the first mass emigration of Jews to the Holy Land known as the 1st Aliya (1882-1903). 2. In 1991, Operation Solomon flew 20,000 Jews to Israel from Ethiopia itself. A further airlift began in June of 1999, aimed at transporting the last 3,000 members of the Quara Jewish community from northeastern Ethiopia to Israel.
But, there’s more: Ethiopia (Cush) is a part of the future Ezekiel 38 war. What a gracious God that moves His children out of harm’s way!
The final stages of Zephaniah’s prophecy are underway. Amazing …
