Jack Kinsella penned this letter in September 2008 (blue title link above), approximately 1.5 years after yours truly started to study the Bible in earnest.
As I said in my post on Saturday, the Omega Letter has been a game changer for me. I think I read this particular letter a dozen times before sending it to friends and family and, especially, to Bible skeptics.
I quickly realized that unless the Holy Spirit is abiding in a person, the facts contained in the Bible are foolish (1 Corinthians 2:14), or worse yet, completely unimportant and irrelevant.
To me, this post is vintage Jack. He succinctly makes his case, and then leaves it up to the Holy Spirit to do the rest. It took me a while to learn that to do that.
May I suggest that if you feel as I did when I read this, use the share button below, or this link http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=6336 , and send it to both saved and un-saved friends and family. After sending, wait a few days and just casually ask those on your list what they thought of the post.In Christ, RON PS: With millions watching The Bible each week, the discussion of Biblical authenticity and inerrancy might lead to some interesting conversations and an opportunity to share the Gospel.
