CNS News: “This March A&E will premier “Damien,” a drama about the Antichrist. It is based on the 1977 film “The Omen,” and is one of three new shows that depict the devil and demonic possession. The others are “Lucifer” (Fox) and “Outcast” (Cinemax).
When asked by the Hollywood Reporter why there is renewed interest in the Antichrist, Glen Mazzara, the showrunner of “Damien,” said he thought it was because there is increased anticipation that we may be living in the end times, the Biblically prophesied final years before the end of the world and the return of Jesus Christ.”
Opinion: End Times? Where have I heard that before?
Although our book Antichrist: The Search For Amalek didn’t make a blip on the Amazon top seller list, I have more confidence in the research today than I did when I began searching for the bloodline of the final man of sin.
And I’m pretty sure the A&E documentary will not follow our book.
The Bible indicates that the identity of the son of perdition will not be obvious to the people on earth until the mid-way point of the tribulation, Daniel 9:27; Revelation 13.
Since the emergence of Antichrist follows the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, it still makes me wonder how I could spend 3 years on a person we will never see.
(For a detailed look at Daniel’s 70 weeks prophecy see Bible Prophecy 101, (revised) chapter 5, on the home page of this website).
