The Times of Israel: “United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed “alarm” Saturday at Hamas’s pledge the day before to keep building attack tunnels from Gaza into Israel and to advance the development of rockets to fire at the Jewish state.

Ban’s remarks came days after he prompted furious criticism from Israel for remarks that the Jewish state alleged legitimized Palestinian terrorism.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, the UN chief said remarks and actions of this nature do “serious disservice” to Gaza’s population, and endanger efforts to rebuild the coastal enclave devastated in three rounds of fighting between Israel and Hamas since 2008.”

Opinion: If Ban Ki Moon is truly alarmed, then he is completely oblivious. In 2014, the UN chief took a tour (above) of a terror tunnel. Since Hamas’ only reason for existence is the destruction of the Jews of Israel, if Ban is not oblivious, he is willfully ignorant.

2000px-Kingdoms_around_Israel_830_map_svgThe Edomites (descendants of Esau) currently of the West Bank and Gaza, have an appointment with prophecy. In addition to the books of Obadiah, Jeremiah, and Isaiah, Ezekiel prophesied that the original kingdom of Edom, southern Jordan, would be made desolate.

“Because you have had an ancient hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the power of the sword at the time of their calamity (1st Temple destroyed Israelites taken to Babylon), when their iniquity came to an end therefore, as I live,” says the Lord God, “I will prepare you for blood, and blood shall pursue you; since you have not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue youThus I will make Mount Seir (euphemism for Edom) most desolate, and cut off from it the one who leaves  and the one who returns (Esau’s descendants).” Ezekiel  35:5-7

Ezekiel was prophesying from Babylon while the Israelites were in the Captivity in the 6th century BC. The Edomites helped the Babylonian army take Jerusalem as part of an evil plan to keep the promised land for themselves.

Some things never change.

For that crime against God’s chosen, Edom would be made desolate in the same way that today Israel demolishes (desolates) the homes of terrorists in Israel that take Jewish blood.

Obadiah 1:10-11: “For violence against your brother Jacob, Shame shall cover you, And you shall be cut off forever.
In the day that you stood on the other side—In the day that strangers carried captive his forces, When foreigners entered his gates And cast lots for Jerusalem.”

Violence in Hebrew is “chamas” pronounced Hamas.

idu-218x300Edom was overrun very soon after by a Nabataen tribe from the desert forcing Esau’s descendants to head west. The Edomites found fertile pasture in southern Israel (Idumea -Judea) and settled there as the Jews were returning from exile.

Edom’s descendants are still there today.

Over the centuries, Edom was made desolate in fulfillment of Scripture, but the fortress of cascading cliffs and stone buildings with narrow entry passages that the Edomites built of the white and red sand and limestone, stand ready to be a safe haven for the Jews of Israel (Revelation 12:6) to be protected during the last 3.5 years of the Great Tribulation spoken of by Jesus:

Matthew 24:15-16 “Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION (Mid way point 3.5 years into the tribulation- Antichrist declares himself god in the tribulation temple Daniel 9:27) which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place let the reader understand, then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.”

Did you see that? The Jews of Israel flee to the mountains (Edom-Petra) as Antichrist enters the promised land, all Jordan is spared in fulfillment of Daniel 11:41, because the Jews are there.

Daniel 11:41 “He (Antichristshall enter also into the glorious land (Israel), and many countries shall be overthrown: but these (Jews) shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab (Central Jordan), and the chief of the children of Ammon (northern Jordan).

With the Church safe in the New Jerusalem from before the tribulation (Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; Revelation 3:10, 4:1, 21:21) and the Jews protected in Petra, those who reject Christ on earth suffer great persecution and wrath at the hands of Antichrist, until Jesus returns with His robe stained with the blood of Edom (Isaiah 63:1-3, Revelation 19:13-15).

Wow.
