Investors Op-Ed: “Nonsense: Americans are encouraged to turn out their lights Saturday to “switch on (their) social power to shine a light on climate action.” Here’s a tip: Acting like a Third World country isn’t progress.
While we’re being asked to voluntarily go dark for Earth Hour at 8:30 p.m. local time, Venezuela is shutting down its electricity for a week in hopes of averting an energy crisis caused by its economic policies.
The organizers of Earth Hour have it exactly backward. Rather than plunging ourselves into primitive gloom, we should be commemorating the fact that unlike Venezuela, which has been stripped bare of its First World advances by socialism, we have reliable energy thanks to capitalism.”
Opinion: President Obama began the progressive left’s war on coal admitting that the price of home electricity will “necessarily skyrocket”.
If the likes of Hillary Clinton were to become president we can expect that the poor and middle class will be turning out lights and AC as a matter of financial survival since inexpensive and plentiful coal provides 33% of US home energy needs.
Last Sunday Hillary said this “We’re Going to Put a Lot of Coal Miners and Coal Companies Out of Business” in a clear sign she intends to accelerate the destruction of one of the country’s leading energy sector and drive the price of energy to where only the rich can afford it.
So like Venezuela’s leaders, the so-called champions of the poor and middle class will enjoy all the luxuries of heating and air reminding me of a prophecy in Recelation 6:5-6 describing the final financial collapse: “And do not harm the oil and the wine.”
The Obama’s and Clinton’s will still be just fine, for a while.
