The New American: “As the European Union and the establishment behind it become increasingly totalitarian, paranoid, and unstable, the EU super-state is raising up and training its own transnational military-police force. According to reports and its own propaganda material, the EU “Gendarmerie,” as the force is known, will apparently be charged with putting down protests and civil unrest, raiding illegal political meetings, propping up foreign governments, and even confiscating weapons.
Police and troops from numerous African and Middle Eastern nations were also involved in the controversial EU force’s latest EU-funded training exercises. Critics are fighting back, though, warning of the dangers of such a force and of the EU itself.”
Opinion: Sometimes the articles just jump right off the page: “As the European Union and the establishment behind it become increasingly totalitarian, paranoid, and unstable“ is one that makes the little hairs on my neck stand up.
Daniel 2:31-32 prophesied such a kingdom in the final 7 years before the return of Messiah:
“This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.“
The great prophet Daniel was interpreting king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Daniel prophesied 4 Gentile kingdoms that would deal with Israel: from Babylon (550 BC) to the future revived Roman Empire of Antichrist.
Rome is described by the two legs (Rome/Constantinople) of the statue, and (revived Rome) as the feet made “partly of iron and partly of clay”.
Iron and clay cannot adhere, therefore, Daniel saw the final empire as unstable, which is precisely what the writer of the above article said of the European Union today: paranoid, and unstable.
But that’s not all, Virginia, the 10 toes also prophesy Daniel 7:24.
“The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom And another shall rise after them; he shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings.”
Daniel gives us a view of how the world will look in the last days. The world will be divided into 10 regions, each with a king. The eleventh king, Antichrist, begins his reign by eliminating 3 kings before all hell breaks loose.
And Daniel 2:34 didn’t leave it there: “You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.”
The stone cut without hands is Messiah Jesus who will crush Antichrist.
