YNet News: “Just three days before foreign ministers from 70 different countries are set to descend upon Paris for a conference aimed at solving the Israel-Palestinian conflict, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “there are more attempts to destroy any attempt at peace, and one of these attempts will be happening in Paris.”
“It’s a rigged conference, rigged by the Palestinians with French auspices to adopt additional anti-Israel stances. This pushes peace backwards,” The prime minister then said that “(this conference) is not going to obligate us. It’s a relic of the past, it’s a last gasp of the past before the future sets in.”
Opinion: It is not hard to guess what future Israel’s Prime Minister is referring to. There is great optimism in conservative circles in both Israel and the US regarding President-elect Trump’s promise to establish the capital of Israel by moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
If/when that happens the US will be the only embassy in the holy city.
Why if? Because a lot can happen between January 20 and the completed embassy move. From the time of Esau’s illegitimate grandson Amalek (Ex.17:16), terror attacks and wars between the twins’ descendants have not ceased. In 586 BC, Edomites, synonymous with Amalekites, actually helped the Babylonian army destroy the holy temple and take the Israelites captive to Babylon (Obadiah 1:1-14).
Since Israel’s rebirth on May 14, 1948 there have been 15 wars over the land (here).
The conflict from time immemorial continues to play out making it logical to expect that the Edomites of today will be no different than their forefathers. It is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11).
There are wars and conflicts (here) that were prophesied for such a time as this, Esther 4:14.
