Arutz Sheva: IDF veterans’ and reservists groups expressed outrage this week, following the discovery of a street named after PLO chief and arch terrorist Yasser Arafat – inside of the State of Israel.
Liran Baruch, a former IDF combat soldier wounded in the line of duty, discovered Yasser Arafat Street recently in the Israeli Arab town of Jatt in central Israel.
“A friend of mine who was on his way to reserve duty near the village noticed on Waze [a GPS navigation application] a street named after Yasser Arafat. He pointed this out to me, and I wrote a post on Facebook about it and notified the CEO of the Im Tirtzu organization,” Baruch told Channel 10. more …
Opinion: Borrowing a comment from Vason: That would be like naming a street in New York ‘Mohamed Atta Way’.
The title of chapter 8 of our book Antichrist: the Search for Amalek is Yasser Arafat: Antichrist #8.
The following are excerpts from the book:
“The Father of Modern-Day Terrorism:
In August of 2004, Andrew McCarthy, in the National Review, wrote: About him, while there is much to say, there is little to glean. He was a thug. One of the most cunning of all time for sure, but quite simply a ruthless, thoroughly corrupt will-to-power thug.”
But Arafat was more than that. He was a known homosexual pedophile that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak once referred to in the presence of Secretary of State Warren Christopher, as “a son of a dog.”
Muslims consider dogs unclean.
Arafat became the darling of the progressive left’s hatred towards Israel. Bill Clinton thought that Arafat would be the key to create a legacy of peace in the Middle East, making him a frequent visitor to the White House while ignoring Arafat’s long list of atrocities against the humanity and in particular the Jewish people:
February 21, 1970: Swissair flight 330 is blown out of the sky inbound to Tel Aviv. All passengers and crew lost.
May 8, 1970: Nine Israeli school children and three of their teachers are blown to bits when Arafat orders their school bus obliterated by bazooka fire.
September 5, 1972: Arafat’s slaughter of eleven Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics; Mahmoud Abbas is reported to have arranged financing for the operation.
March 1, 1973: The US ambassador to Sudan is among those killed when Arafat’s thugs take over the Saudi embassy in Khartoum.
May 15, 1974: PLO terrorists toss grenades into a group of school children being held hostage in an elementary school in Ma’alot, Israel. Twenty-one children and two teachers are killed in the school.
On October 7, 1985, four PLF terrorists boarded the cruise ship Achille Lauro. As his horrified wife looked on, the terrorists viciously shot the 69-year-old wheelchair-bound Jew named Leon Klinghoffer, then tossed him overboard to die in the sea.
December 6, 1985 the First Intifada: After four years of violence, including 3,600 Molotov cocktails, one hundred hand grenades, and six hundred assaults, the death toll reached 1,100 Arabs, 1,400 Israeli citizens, and 1,700 Israeli soldiers
The Oslo Accords of 1993 set a 7 year peace treaty in the Middle East. Within hours of signing Arafat violated virtually every part of the agreement that eventually ended in 2000.
A Future Oslo: The model for Daniel 9:27?
“Then he [antichrist] shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.”
The clue here is the word confirm. You cannot confirm something that does not already exist. Antichrist doesn’t create a treaty, but enforces one already in existence.
Daniel says that the treaty will be with “many” (Israel and neighbors), and “one week” in Hebrew (shabua) means seven years, making a modified Oslo III, a perfect fit for the future world leader.
