Warmth and scale of Trump-Saudi embrace could spell trouble for Netanyahu

The Times of Israel: Donald Trump will be making history from the moment he takes off from Riyadh to Tel Aviv on Monday — by flying the direct route from the Saudi capital to the Jewish state for the first time.

His Saudi hosts on Saturday asserted their confidence that he can make more abiding and substantive history by brokering an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord. more …

Opinion: The President and Ishmael

The Saudis are so relieved to have a US president who is not tripping all over himself to make a suicidal pact with Iran, that they are willing make some sort of pact with Israel.

Yesterday’s accomplishments are glowing:

  • A (once unthinkable) counter-terrorism center in Riyadh
  • Defense agreements worth $110 billion effective immediately
  • Additional agreements worth an additional $350 billion over ten years
  • Hundreds of thousands of jobs for both America and the Sunni nations

“He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against every man, And every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” Genesis 16:12

The world celebrates while prophecy trackers and Israel hold their collective breath. Scripture tells us if this is the beginning of a peace deal as detailed in Daniel 9:27 both the rapture and the tribulation are not far off.

The problem is that Daniel says the peace is accepted by many. Ezekiel 38:10 records that the peace will be so ironclad that Israel will take down bars and gates and celebrate a future of laying down arms.

That Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS and the governments of Libya, Iraq, Syria and Yemen hate Sunnis as much as they hate the United States and Israel, means that many are not on-board.

Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu is in a precarious position. The same president who made a 100% guarantee to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem has instead made a pact with Ishmael.
