Unity is more than ‘bland uniformity,’ says Pope

Catholic News Agency,  Pope Francis met with a delegation from the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, saying their journey toward full communion is one that ought to respect their unique traditions – rather than a uniformity that would, in the end, make the Church more boring.

In his address to the delegation, Francis said the traditional exchange of delegations on the feast of their patrons is something that “increases our desire for the full restoration of communion between Catholics and Orthodox.”

This, he said, is something “which we already have a foretaste in fraternal encounter, shared prayer and common service to the Gospel.” more …

Opinion: Since their founding in 1540, the purpose of Jesuits is to unite all religions under the authority of the Pope. The centuries-old process is called ecumenism and was conceived in the Vatican as a counter-Reformation movement to cause the downfall of the Protestant church.

Francis is the first Jesuit pope. He has been hard at work mending ties with Anglican and Russian Orthodox denominations, and despite his anti-Biblical remarks,

  • Homosexuality “Who am I to judge?”
  • Atheists “We must meet one another doing good.” “But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!” “But do good: we will meet one another there.”
  • “We are all children of God” in direct violation of John 1:12-13.

the pontiff has received support from mega-church pastors Rick Warren, Joel O’steen, and motivational author and evangelical pastor, Mike Lee.

In December 2016, Pope Francis ordered that all new Catholic priests preach on the dangers of global warming (here).

The movement for a global church that will accommodate the new progressive liberalism, a universal church on the order of the church of Laodicea as prophesied in the Book of Revelation 3:14-22, is just around the corner.
