The day was a productive one for an administration facing an unprecedented number of vacancies on federal courts.
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance the confirmation of several Trump nominees to federal appeals courts Thursday morning. more …
Opinion: It is important to remember in the midst of all the clamor that our president is doing lots of things right. He is appointing conservative judges to the courts and according to Breitbart, for the first time in 8 years the US is bringing in more Christians than Muslims.
He withdrew us from the economic destruction of the Paris climate accords, has slowed illegal immigration by 50%, rolled back job killing regulations, and he still says Mexico will pay for the wall.
As a businessman, Trump knows that lowering the corporate tax rate will bring back manufacturing that creates real jobs and lowering the personal income tax will grow the economy.
He has led from the front in Syria and Afghanistan, reminding the world that America is back as the world’s lone superpower.
One thing that can derail all the good that he has done is to make a big mistake in the Middle East. The intoxication of making the ultimate deal could bring down his presidency in accordance with Genesis 12:3, as it did to many of his predecessors:
- Obama’s legacy is in tatters and his party lost a landslide of Congressional seats after his UN Ambassador abstained on resolution 2334 on December 23, 2016 that condemned Israel for building homes in its capital.
- George W. Bush presidency never recovered from his involvement in the 2005 Gaza disengagement plan along with Ariel Sharon, as 8000 Jewish families were uprooted from their homes and the land given to Palestinians in exchange for peace that never came.
- William Jefferson Clinton along with Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat signed the Oslo Accords on September 13, 1993 that established Palestinian self-rule in the Gaza Strip and Jericho in a 7 year land for peace deal. Three months later Clinton was charged with allegations of sexual improprieties as a governor that dogged his entire presidency.
- George H.W. Bush was the main speaker at the land for peace Madrid Conference. As the president opened the conference a perfect storm developed in the North Atlantic that traveled east to west crashing into and destroying the Bush summer residence in Kennebunkport, Maine.
In the current land for peace deal, President Trump is dealing with Sunni Arab states who consider lying (taqiyya) in defense of Islam a pillar of their faith.
We can only pray it is not to late to keep his promise and move the US embassy to Jerusalem.
