WND: Despite the organization’s $1.24 billion annual budget for 2017, the physicists at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, are being forced to admit failure in their latest effort to explain why any of us are here.

Indeed, why there’s even a “here” here at all.

“The universe should not actually exist,” said Christian Smorra, a physicist at CERN’s Baryon–Antibaryon Symmetry Experiment (BASE) collaboration.

Smorra and other scientists are trying to resolve the mystery of why – given the assumption the universe is the result of the Big Bang – the resulting matter was not annihilated back into nothingness by the equal amount of resulting antimatter.

Opinion: Suppose the universe started with order and not a chaotic explosion.

“In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth” Genesis 1:1 indicates that creation was caused in an orderly way by God not a chaotic explosion caused by the inexplicable. Yet scientists are baffled.

The scientists say that all of their observations find a complete symmetry between matter and antimatter: “An asymmetry must exist here somewhere, but we simply do not understand where the difference is.”

If we blow up a Swiss watch and put all the parts of the watch into a bag, how long would you have to shake the bag until the watch comes out assembled and in in perfect working order?

Answers in Genesis author Dr. Jason Lisle wrote:

“Everything in the universe, every plant and animal, every rock, every particle of matter or light wave, is bound by laws which it has no choice but to obey. The Bible tells us that there are laws of nature—“ordinances of heaven and earth” (Jeremiah 33:25). These laws describe the way God normally accomplishes His will in the universe.

God’s logic is built into the universe, and so the universe is not haphazard or arbitrary. It obeys laws of chemistry that are logically derived from the laws of physics, many of which can be logically derived from other laws of physics and laws of mathematics. The most fundamental laws of nature exist only because God wills them to; they are the logical, orderly way that the Lord upholds and sustains the universe He has created. The atheist is unable to account for the logical, orderly state of the universe. Why should the universe obey laws if there is no law-giver? But laws of nature are perfectly consistent with biblical creation. In fact, the Bible is the foundation for natural laws.” (source)

  1. I really like your Swiss watch metaphor. That was spot on! Never looked at it quite that way before.

I would love to see someone just walk into a place like NASA or CERN and seat all their scientists down at a table. Then, walk around placing Bibles in front of each of them, saying, :”This is the official manual from which you shall all come to the best understanding of the universe.”
