The Times of Israel: Saudi Arabia last week ordered Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to either accept an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal being put together by the Trump administration, or resign, according to an Israeli report Sunday.
The Trump administration has begun drafting an Israeli-Palestinian peace proposal based on a two-state solution, officials and analysts quoted by The New York Times said on Saturday.
A senior White House adviser said the plan would attempt to tackle controversial issues such as the status of Jerusalem and West Bank settlements. more …
Opinion: Controversial issues? That is the understatement of the century.
That the new young prince Bin Salman ordered Abbas to Saudi Arabia speaks volumes about his continued rise to power as we watch the ultimate deal unfold.
That the ultimate deal is based on the status of a two-state solution means that Jerusalem is right smack dab in the center of things just like the prophet Zechariah 12:3 said it would be.
“And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.”
Pay particular attention to the last line though all nations of the earth are gathered against it, because the prophet is telling us that the prophecy not only pertains to the events of today but takes us to the days late in the tribulation when the armies of Antichrist fight against Christ at His return.
How fascinating that the world is just 6 months away from the 70th anniversary of the prophesied fulfillment of the rebirth of the state of Israel. Seventy is a very important number in God’s plan.
#70: The number specially connected with Jerusalem.
The number seventy is combination of two of the perfect numbers, seven and ten, 7 x 10, and signifies perfect spiritual order carried out with all spiritual power and significance.
Both spirit and order are greatly emphasized.
The table of 70 nations in Genesis 10 (post flood) is the first recorded list of the descendants of Noah: Shem, Ham and Japheth, which provides the genealogy of the nations known at that time.
Seventy people accompanied Jacob to Egypt (Deut. 10:22)
Seventy elders furnished Israel’s great Tribunal, (Exodus 24:1; Numbers 11:16) afterwards called the Sanhedrin. The Jewish people kept the Sabbaths seventy years, while they were in the Diaspora (Babylonian Captivity) (Jer. 35:11).
Seventy sevens were determined upon Israel to complete its transgression and bring in everlasting righteousness (Messiah) for it, (Dan. 9:24).
“The days of our years are three score years and ten (70); and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away” (Ps. 90:10).
The destruction of the second Jewish Temple took place in AD 70.
