JOL: Jordan’s foreign minister criticized the bill commonly known as the United Jerusalem Law, which the Knesset passed this week. On Twitter, Ayman Safadi wrote that the Knesset’s approval of the bill is null and void under international law.
He added that Israel continues to adopt “illegal unilateral decisions that deny [the] region the peace it deserves.” On Tuesday, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s spokesperson Nabil Abu Rdainah condemned the United Jerusalem Law and US President Donald Trump’s Jerusalem recognition.
“This is a declaration of war against the Palestinian people and their political and religious identity,” Abu Rdainah said. more …
Opinion: Three rhetorical questions for the foreign minister of Jordan:
Why has your country denied citizenship to most Jordanian-born Arabs living in Israel for the past 70 years?
Why has your country withdrawn its nationality from thousands of its citizens of Jordanian origin, over 2,700 between 2004 and 2008 alone in violation of Jordan’s nationality law of 1954?
Why did Jordan’s King Hussein only visit Jerusalem once from 1952 to 1967 if the city was/is holy to Muslims?
Hapless Arab people who are pawns of powerful Arab leaders want it the way it is. The Jordanians of central (Moab) Jordan and northern (Ammon) Jordan’s ancient cities are named for the children of Lot, Genesis 19:30-36.
The ancient name for southern Jordan is Edom, who is Esau, (Genesis 36:1).
The people of these ancient tribes are half-brothers to the Jewish people of which Moses commanded:
“You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land.” Deut. 23:7
And unlike most of the world, God commanded that when the final war of this age (Armageddon) is fought, all Jordan will be spared from destruction.
“He (Antichrist) shall also enter the Glorious Land (Israel), and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon.” Daniel 11:41
A remnant of God’s elect will be in Edom (southern Jordan – Petra) for protection (Matthew 24:15-16) during the last (3.5 years) half of the tribulation (Daniel 9:27). In fulfillment of Jeremiah 49:17, Edom has been desolate and waiting to protect the Jewish remnant since 106 AD when the Romans conquered Petra.
Incredibly, Edom, the ancient home of their eternal enemy, is where the Jews will be protected. And because His elect will be in southern Jordan, God has promised to protect the whole nation from Antichrist.
