Netanyahu says US embassy move will have ‘long-term implications’

The Times of Israel: “This is a great moment for the citizens of Israel and a historic moment for the State of Israel,” Netanyahu told his ministers at the weekly cabinet meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. “All the citizens of Israel will celebrate it together. It has long-term implications and great historic significance.” more …

Opinion: Central casting could not have scripted this any better. The ribbon-cutting ceremony set for May 14, 1948 will be a once in a millennia event, complete with villains (Hamas, PA, and Islamic Jihad, who are trying to replace the Hamas government in Gaza) and blessings.

If there is one thing that will send the descendants of Esau into a rage, it is to be even more removed from taking back the birthright squandered by their predecessor.

I have been trying to find a celebratory prophecy that such a blessing to Israel would bring. America, under the Abrahamic Covenant (Genesis 12:3), will be a big beneficiary and Israel’s enemies may be enraged enough to form an Arab militia on a scale never seen before.

It would make sense that the comment made by Mike Pence last week pointing to 2019 was a decoy.

There are some prophecy teachers pointing to May 14 as the possible day of the rapture. But the embassy move is a Jewish event and the rapture of the church is based on the full number of Gentiles that God wants saved. When that number is hit the church is gone on an instant.

“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.” Romans 11:25

With the fullness of the Gentiles saved, the church of Jesus Christ is taken up (Greek – harpazo, 1 Thess. 4:16-18). God turns His attention to Israel to prepare them for the tribulation to come. At that point, the blindness will be lifted from Israel’s eyes. With the saved church in heaven, God turns His attention to saving the Jew.

The scene is the mid-way point of the rule of Antichrist when a whole lot of prophecy will happen at warp speed:

  • The war of Gog and Magog will have brought the true Jews back to Israel (Ez 39:28).
  • Antichrist declares the he is god (abomination of desolation) Daniel 9:27
  • Jesus tells the Jews in Judea to flee to the mountains (Matthew 24:15-16)
  • Jesus tells the Jews that “he who preservers to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13)

(Right there is one the most misunderstood passages of prophecy: But he who preserves to the end will be saved”).

The Gospel tells us that no one can be saved without belief in Jesus Christ and Zechariah 12:10 provides the answer:

“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.”

The House of David will be in the mountains of Edom (Petra) and will corporately accept Jesus Christ at His second coming “And all Israel will be saved,” Romans 11:26.

  1. The understatement of the Century.
70years of Babylonian captivity. Temple destroyed in 70AD. Embassy move to Jerusalem 70 years from re-birth of Israel as a nation. What is with all these 70’s? Who would have thunk a few years ago that this would even be a remote possibility? Makes you wonder if there is someone out there who has His hand in all this.
