JNS: WHERE is the threat of UN investigators being sent in as they do EVERY time Israel retaliates against terrorists? Human Right Watch has accused the Egyptian army of unlawfully destroying thousands of homes, businesses and farmland in northern Sinai, as part of its campaign against the Islamic State (ISIS).

Using satellite imagery and local testimony, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report on Tuesday that many lifelong residents of Sinai have been displaced as a result of at least 3,000 homes and commercial buildings being destroyed by the Egyptian military.

The army is waging a campaign in the area against a group affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS). more …

Opinion: The Sinai was the scene of the first Biblically-recorded terror attack and has continued to be a home base for terror throughout recorded history.

Excerpts: Antichrist: The Search for Amalek:

“Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in
Rephidim (Sinai). So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose for us
men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow
I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of
God in my hand.” So Joshua did as Moses told him,
and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and
Hur went up to the top of the hill” (Exodus 17:8-11).

“As far back as their journey through Sinai, Edom threatened the Israelites with “a mighty hand” and refused to allow them to pass through their territory enroute to the Promised Land (Num. 20:20–21).”

“The Jewish people, 2,500 years ago, preempted the attack of
the Persian army against overwhelming odds and defeated
them (Esther 9:11). The Israeli army in 1967 preempted the war with
Egypt, Syria, and Jordan. Israel captured the West Bank, East
Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, the Golan Heights, and the Sinai
Peninsula in a miraculous victory that stunned the world.”

“2017: The unwillingness of the world to crush this rogue state (ISIS) in 2014, 2015 and 2016 saw a change in 2017 with Donald Trump’s win of the US presidency. ISIS retreated to the Sinai, the place of Amalek’s first attack on the Israelites, to rebuild its forces.”

Of all the terror groups, ISIS most resembles Esau’s grandson Amalek’s ruthlessness. Egypt is trying to eradicate a terror organization but the problem was never about one man or one terror group, it is about a hatred that began with a birthright to the covenant land that was squandered 3500 years ago by a grandson of Abraham:

“Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?” Genesis 25:32 NIV
