RT: The global economy is facing a threat of spiraling protectionist measures that can lead to a devastating crisis, Vladimir Putin warned. Nations must find a way to prevent this and establish rules on how the economy should work.
Putin called for a change of course, for free trade to be defended, and for rules-based regulation of the global economy, which would alleviate the chaos resulting from the rapid technological transformations arising from the development of digital technology.
“The disregard for existing norms and a loss of trust may combine with the unpredictability and turbulence of the colossal change. These factors may lead to a systemic crisis, which the world has not seen yet,” he said.
He stressed that there is a need for transparent universal rules as well as an inclusive mechanism, which would allow those rules to be amended in a way that would be accepted by the international community. more …
Opinion: Evidently, US sanctions on Russia, Iran, and North Korea are working. Vladimir Putin had his way with the world for eight years and now he and the weak Russian economy are feeling the pinch by a US president who is supposedly in collusion with the Soviet state.
The larger point here is just how badly the nations want global controls.
“Putin stressed that there is a need for transparent universal rules as well as an inclusive mechanism, which would allow those rules to be amended in a way that would be accepted by the international community.”
The EU is also looking for a single president to ‘steer the ship’, but from where will such a leader rise?
In Daniel 2:31–43, the prophet interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and prophesied a statue that represented four kingdoms that would rule Israel and most of the world with great power.
The second kingdom was Medo-Persia, represented by the silver chest and two arms.
The third empire was Greece under Alexander, represented by the brass belly and thighs.
The fourth empire was Rome and Constantinople, represented by the two legs of iron. This fourth empire will be revived in the last days and will be a confederation of ten kingdoms depicted by the ten toes of the statue (Dan. 7:24).
Daniel said the feet and toes will be made of iron and clay, meaning that the empire will be partially strong and partially weak (unstable), an accurate description of the EU today, but the great prophet does not stop there.
Daniel 9:26 prophesied that the leader of the global government will rise from the empire that destroyed the second Jewish temple:
“… And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary …”
Rome once controlled not only Europe but parts of the Middle East leaving a great area from where the final world ruler could come from:
Not to worry, if you have read this far you won’t be here 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.
