Nasrallah spoke at an event marking Al-Quds (Jerusalem) day held at the village of Maroun al-Ras located south-east of Beirut.
“We will not tell you (Jews) that we will throw you into the sea, yet we demand from the Israelis that they will return to the lands from which they came. If you continue with the occupation, the great war will come,” he said, “and that would be the day in which we all will pray in Jerusalem.” more …
Opinion: For something to be returned to someone, they must first have once possessed it. Arab Palestinians were never meant to possess the land that God gave to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 17:7-8).
“But Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright as of this day.”
And Esau said, “Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?”
Then Jacob said, “Swear to me as of this day.”
So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.” Genesis 25:31-34
It is that simple and that complex. The descendants of these two men have been at war for 3500 years over the title deed to Jerusalem and only one can possess it.
“Two nations are in your womb,
Two peoples shall be separated from your body;
One people shall be stronger than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.” Genesis 25:32
