Prince William and Abbas met in the Palestinian presidential compound in Ramallah in the first visit of its kind to the West Bank by a member of the British royal family.
“We want to reach peace through negotiations,” Abbas told Prince William.
“I’m very glad our two countries work so closely together and have had success stories with education and relief work in the past, so, long may that continue,” Prince William told Abbas. more …
Opinion: Two countries? What did he say? If the British prince means that he acknowledges a Palestinian state, then Britain is in even more trouble than I thought.
It is as if the Balfour Declaration (which specified Palestine as a Jewish state) never even happened. After WWI the Ottoman empire collapsed, giving the allies mandates over the land once occupied by Arabs.
Siding with Germany in the war was a fatal mistake.
When Britain was awarded Palestine in 1917, Lord Balfour designated the entire area as a national homeland for the Jewish people. The sun was very bright on the British Empire.
Fast forward to 1947. Britain had caved to Arab demands reducing the allotted Israeli land from 43,000 square miles to 5500 square miles, of which 75% was desert. That same year a Palestinian state and a Jewish state was offered to both sides. The Jews accepted, the Arabs did not.
The sun began to set on the British Empire. Today it is a shell of its former self. And from a trustworthy source we’ve heard it said, “As goes Britain, so goes the US.”
Prince William, who from now on will be called Prince Occupied William (POW) has set Britain back in the same way every British leader did since Lord Balfour. It was on June 17 when POW, who is Queen Elizabeth’s grandson and second-in-line to the throne, became the first British royal to pay an official visit to Israel announcing East Jerusalem as occupied Palestinian territories.
“I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3
POW blew it in the same way as Britain’s leaders did before him. Somehow the nations don’t learn, or accept, that God chose Jacob over Esau (Genesis 35:10; Malachi 1:1-3) to inherit the land of promise.
“For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be His own, Israel to be His treasured possession” Psalm 135:4.
