The Christian Journal: At the annual Minnesota Conference of the United Methodist Church, the historic Apostles’ Creed was edited to remove the word ‘Father,’ to make it more compliant with culture.

The creed goes back to the days of the Early Church and is an affirmation of the Christian Faith. The reading is still widely used in today’s churches and sometimes is used during parts of worship.

At the Minnesota Conference, which was held from May 30–June 1, liturgical folders reportedly included a copy of the creed that removed gender-specific language for God, changing “God the Father Almighty” to “God the Creator Almighty” and “Jesus Christ His Only Son” to “Jesus Christ God’s Only Son.” more …

Opinion:Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?”

And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.  Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” Daniel 12:8-9

Daniel was a learned man, well versed in the Scriptures, but he didn’t understand the words of Jesus so he asked for more information, but Jesus did not provide it. Instead Daniel was to go about his business because the words of the vision are closed up and sealed.

People will understand more of the words as the time of the end approaches.

Christianity has been corrupted. The falling away began with a theology in the 2nd century AD with church theologianOrigen, commonly noted as the ‘father of the allegory’ who began a quest of allegorizing Scripture.

Origen was followed by Chrysostom and Augustine who together explained away four-fifths of prophetic Scripture as symbolic or allegorical.

A confused church is easy prey for the evil one.
