American Dream: At one time, the notion that the general population would be microchipped someday was a “conspiracy theory”, but now the mainstream media is coming right out and telling us that we will all get chipped.
It is almost as if they are trying to mentally condition us to accept what is coming. Of course it is being portrayed as “cool” and “trendy”, and a lot of people will be fooled by that. But if someday “identity chips” are required for the entire population, the potential for tyranny would be off the charts.
Unfortunately, some sort of permanent digital identification is increasingly being pushed as the solution to problems such as identity theft, tax evasion, illegal immigration and money laundering. And tech companies would love to have a universal way to confirm the identities of individuals on the Internet. But very few people are talking about the dark side of this technology, and that is a very frightening thing. more …
Opinion: Dark side? Really?
“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name” Revelation 13:16-17.
Have you ever wondered how we can post the same verses over and over again and not scream? On September 6, I read the devotional from Oswald Chambers that radically changed my occasional frustration, especially on days when the blog is slow and responses are few and far between. Here is what it said:
“A river touches many places of which the source knows nothing, and Jesus says if we receive His fullness, however small the visible measure of our lives, out of us will flow the rivers that will bless the uttermost parts of the earth. We have nothing to do with the outflow- “This is the work of God that ye believe…” God rarely allows a soul to see how great a blessing he is.”
You see on an average day, in addition to our regular traffic, we get anywhere from 20-30 people that land on our site from Google searches from far away places like: Viet Nam, Croatia, Angola, Cameroon, Ghana, Kuwait, Krygyzstan, Mozambique and Senegal.
We never know if those people will come back, but sometimes they do and that country will go from one visit to becoming a daily visitor with multiple page views. I try to imagine who they are. What language they speak? Are they Christian? Is it dangerous for them to visit, like the occasional reader from China, or Saudi Arabia, or the Palestinian territories?
The mark of the beast as described in the above passage of Revelation is as certain to be fulfilled as more than 1300 prophecies that have already been fulfilled perfectly.
There is a way for all of us to be kept out of the time of trial (Revelation 3:10; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18), and not have to make the decision about the mark: Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ John 3:16, Acts 16:31.
So, go be a river and tell somebody.
