Breitbart: Six presidents of continental bishops’ conferences have signed an appeal calling on government leaders to take immediate action to overcome the “devastating effects of the climate crisis,” the Vatican reported Friday.

In their appeal, the bishops summon politicians to work towards an ambitious implementation of the Paris Climate Accord, which urges policies aimed at limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The prelates also throw their collective moral weight behind the upcoming U.N. climate change conference, to be held this December in Katowice, Poland (COP24).

The appeal was presented in Rome on Friday . more …

Opinion:  Pope Francis wrapped up a month-long meeting of 250 bishops, 30 young people and a handful of nuns dedicated to young people by saying Saturday the Catholic Church was being “persecuted” and “dirtied” by accusations from the devil — an obvious reference to claims that he covered up for a sexual predator that has thrown his papacy into turmoil.

But Francis never misses a chance to deflect the scandal by turning the conversation to climate change and open borders in direct violation of God’s word, who set definite borders for Israel (Genesis 15:18; Exodus 23:31) and the nations (Psalm 74:17; Acts 17:26).

On October 16 Pope Francis demanded responses to hunger, climate, migration: “It is clear that wars and climatic change are a cause of hunger, so let’s not present it as if hunger is an incurable disease,” the pontiff said during remarks at the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization, according to United Nations New Centre.

Therefore it is no surprise that his Bishops are turning up the heat (pun intended) to prepare for the next chance for the UN to slam the US at an upcoming climate conference to be held in Katowice Poland on December 14, 2018.

Francis specifically held up the Paris climate accord, and applauded those governments that have committed to upholding the agreement while neglecting to scold China for the country’s failure to uphold the accord, the biggest polluter on the planet.

The Roman pontiff seems unconcerned about the recent rise of Hamas terror, a brewing new Middle East war, the heinous crimes committed by his clergy, or the job of bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a Biblically dying world. Instead he put fort a new mantra:

“Our Planet, Our Health, Our Responsibility”
