JNS: The move announced by the Hague-based International Court of Justice comes against a backdrop of deeply strained ties between Washington and the Palestinians, in part because of the Trump Administration’s decision in December to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to move the US embassy there from Tel Aviv in May.
The move infuriated the Palestinians, who claim East Jerusalem, which Israel captured from Jordan in the 1967 Six Day War, as their capital. The Palestinian Authority broke off contact with the US after the Jerusalem announcement.
Abbas also said at the time he would go to the ICC and ICJ over what he claimed was evidence that Israel planned to allow Jewish prayer on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. Rumors of Jewish prayer being allowed have in the past sparked widespread violence. more …
Opinion: Jewish prayer in the city of David on the mount where David’s son, Solomon, built a temple to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, somehow inflames tension.
In a strange way it is almost funny, since 90% (maybe more) of the world, including most Christians, agree that the Edomite Abbas is right!
In fact when you think about it, hatred of the Jewish people is from the beginning of recorded time, whereas the underdog Arab, is always felt sorry for.
Even the Jew is supposed to forgive the Edomite: “You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land.” Deut. 23:7
See that: HE IS YOUR BROTHER!
So how did that happen, you ask?
And the Lord said to her:
“Two nations are in your womb,
Two peoples shall be separated from your body;
One people shall be stronger than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.” Genesis 25:23
One brother, Jacob, married in the family line, while the other brother, Esau, married into pagan Hittite tribes. Their descendants have been at war ever since.
That is how long this has been going on. The descendants of the brothers cannot solve it. The denominations of church of Jesus Christ have botched it up, and the secular world is on the side of Esau, of whom the writer of Hebrews 12:6 NIV said:
“See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.”
Why the wouldn’t the secular world side with Esau? He is one of them.
