Jewish Press: We may be witnessing the beginning of the end of the Jewish diaspora. While the anti-Semitic terrorist attack against a synagogue in Pittsburgh is a grave warning for American Jewry, the danger for Jews in Scandinavian countries, France and Britain has been evident for some time.
The Jewish diaspora is the most enduring exile in human history. For 2000 years, the Jewish people has been scattered across the globe and contributed disproportionally to humanity. Against all odds, Jews have survived persecution from the times of Babylon and Rome to the Spanish Inquisition, Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany and Islamist terrorism.
Before the establishment of modern Israel, the destiny of millions of Jews was decided by the whims of different non-Jewish rulers in Christian Europe and the Muslim world. Being forced to flee with short notice with little more than a suitcase was the harsh reality for generations of Diaspora Jews. Islamist Jew-hatred has virtually wiped out once thriving ancient Middle Eastern Jewish communities from Morocco to Iran. more …
Opinion: The diaspora, or dispersion of Jews beyond Israel, began in 70 AD with the destruction of the 2nd temple as prophesied in:
- Leviticus 26:32-33 Enemies would move into the land of Israel
- Ezekiel 22:14-15 The Jews would be scattered to other countries
- Luke 21:24 Jesus prophesied that the Jews would be exiled and scattered
And it was prophesied that they would be returned to the land:
- Amos 9:15 Israel will be restored to the land of their fathers
- Isaiah 66:7-8 Israel would become a nation in one day
- Ezekiel 39:22 God will leave none behind
From the article:
“The number of lethal terrorist attacks in Israel have dropped significantly since Arafat launched the Second Intifada terrorist war on Israel in the early 2000s. By contrast, Islamist terrorist attacks have increased dramatically in America and especially in Europe.”
Israel is the safest place for Jewish people. Many will scoff at that but two wars are prophesied before the tribulation that when they occur, there will be no doubt among the Jewish people that God protected them yet again, and the safest place is back in the land.
It is the second war, Gog and Magog, that fulfills Ezekiel 39:28 (listed above). Israel will be attacked from all sides as written in Ezekiel 38:1-6 NIV:
- Russia, Iran and Turkey from the north and east
- Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia from the south and west
No nation comes to Israel’s side and evidence suggests the US, Britain and Saudi Arabia as being powerless bystanders, Ezekiel 38:13.
Imagine with instant news coverage the world will be seeing this invasion in real time. Then there will be a massive earthquake, Ezekiel 38:18. The invading army will become confused and attack each other as happened in Judges 7:22, 2 Chronicles 20:22, and a miraculous victory in the Yom Kippur war of 1974 …
… only this time there will be no equivocating. This time God will plant a powerful longing for the homeland. This time the sons and daughters of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will return home for protection because the time of Jacob’s trouble is about to begin.
“And they will be saved out of it “(Jeremiah 30:7).
