According to Vatican documents, Pope Francis expressed his support for the caravan on Monday while addressing the participants of the XV General Chapter of the Congregation of the Missionaries of San Carlo.
Much of the Holy Father’s speech focused on the virtue of welcoming the stranger and how nations need to foster this virtue or risk their own demise.
Opinion: The Roman pontiff is encouraging migrants from all over the world to break the laws of other nations, violating God’s word:
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.”
Interestingly, Pope John the XXIII taught:
‘the primary duty of the state is to provide for the common good. One way of doing that is to protect its borders.‘ He acknowledged that too many immigrants ‘concentrated in too limited an area, can cause real economic hardships.
That Catholic teaching supports two distinct views depending on who is in charge proves how far the Roman church has strayed from the Scriptures. Heads of nations, including clearly defined borders have not changed in God’s word since the beginning:
“On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates”
“He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning.”
“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings”
In much the same way that Barack Obama paved the way towards global governance, Pope Francis is sowing chaos in the nations for the same end.
