President George H.W. Bush Dead at 94, Challenged Israeli Policies

Jewish Press: In September 1991, in response to an AIPAC campaign on Capitol Hill in support of the loan guarantees, Bush complained to reporters: “I’m one lonely little guy” up against “some powerful political forces” made up of “a thousand lobbyists on the Hill.” He was accused of anti-Semitism and later apologized. It didn’t help when his Secretary of State, James Baker, was quoted as saying, “[Expletive] the Jews; they didn’t vote for us anyway,” did little to help.

Bush finally acquiesced in August 1992, but demanded a set-off of any funds Israel spent to build housing or infrastructure in the territories. The Jews did not like him in the least. In 1992 he received less than 12% of the Jewish vote, down from 35% in 1988.

In the 1991 Gulf War, Bush’s strategy was to keep Israel from entering the war, forcing the Jewish State to become a protectorate of the US. He sent Patriot anti-missile batteries to Israel, but refused to permit Israeli warplanes to retaliate for the 41 ballistic missiles Iraq shot at its civilians. more …

Opinion: Saturday the president was lavished with praise on most TV networks. With no intention of disparaging a World War II Navy hero, there was a darker side of ’41’. George H.W. Bush was an Episcopalian, hence, a replacement theology church member that did not recognize the rebirth of Israel as a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. A common ailment today.

He was also a globalist:

1991 was a tumultuous time for peace in the ME. Yasser Arafat was deceiving the political left into thinking he was the real deal and the First Intifada that left 1,100 Arabs, 1,400 Israeli citizens, and 1,700 Israeli soldiers dead was in the rear view mirror.

In October 1991, George H.W. Bush was set to be the keynote speaker at the Madrid ‘land for peace conference’ in violation of God’s word that the land not be divided (Joel 3:1-2).

From Antichrist: The Search for Amalek:

As President George H. W. Bush was opening the
Madrid Conference to consider “land for peace”
and Israel’s Middle East role, the “perfect storm”
developed in the North Atlantic, creating the largest
waves ever recorded in that region.

The storm traveled 1000 miles from “east to west”
instead of the normal “west to east” pattern and
crashed into the New England Coast. Thirty-five
foot waves pounded Kennebunkport, Maine and
destroyed the summer home of the Bush family.

The Madrid Conference ended on the trash heap of failed peace plans. It was, however, the precursor to the 1993 Oslo Accords, a 7 year peace treaty and possible model for a future peace plan prophesied in Daniel 9:27:

“Then he, antichrist, shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week (Hebrew/7 years) he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.”

Like so many millions of Christians today, H. had a blind spot for God’s chosen.
