Trump: Bible Literacy Classes In School A ‘Great’ Idea. He’s Absolutely Right. Here’s Why.

Daily Wire: For a change of pace, President Trump caused a controversy today. He got the media and the Left hot and bothered this time around by lending his endorsement to Bible literacy classes. In a tweet this morning, he said: “Numerous states introducing Bible Literacy classes, giving students the option of studying the Bible. Starting to make a turn back? Great!”

The “controversial” laws Trump is referring to, which are being advanced in a few states including Kentucky, would introduce elective Bible classes in school. The classes would teach the Bible in terms of history and literature.

Students, obviously, would not be required to affirm the doctrine of Biblical infallibility, nor would they be taught, or forced to accept, any moral prescription or supernatural claim made in the text. The Bible would be presented as a literary work, and its historical context and impact would be examined from that perspective. more …

Opinion: “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” Hebrews 4:12.

God’s word is so powerful that it divides soul and spirit, and it will penetrate the hearts of those who seek Him even if taught by secular teachers as a history book.

“God’s word never returns void” (Isaiah 55:11), meaning it will accomplish its purpose.

My hope is that the president is taking his own advice and searching the Scriptures for God’s purpose for the land of Israel. Sometime in April he will disclose the details of the ‘deal of the century’. The Scriptures are crystal clear that God’s land is not to be divided (Joel 3:1-2) and that the land was given as an everlasting possession to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants after them (Genesis 17:7-8). Period.

Not only is there no Scripture for Esau (Genesis 36:1) dwelling in the land, but Obadiah 1:18, Isaiah 63:1-3 Malachi 1:1-3 call for God’s destruction on all Edom.

“For they are not all Israel who are of Israel” (Romans 9:6), making it clear that some descendants of Abraham (Ishmael, Esau, sons of Keturah) are not true Israel.
