Chapter 10 – Major Events of Unfulfilled Prophecy

Damascus is destroyed in one night (Isaiah 17:1, 14)

A coalition of 7 Arab nations marches on Israel (Ps. 83:1-8)

Israel is victorious (Psalm 83:9), the war ends, and Israel becomes an exceedingly great army (Ezek. 37:10)

Israel dwells securely; the wall of separation comes down (Ezek. 38:11)

Russia (Iran/Turkey/North Africa) launch a surprise attack to take plunder (Ezek. 38:13)

God intervenes (Ezek. 38:18-23)

Jews recognize God’s hand in victory “from that day forward”, return to covenant relationship and demand a temple (Ezek. 39:22)

Rapture of the Church and Bema Seat Judgment (1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-58; 2 Cor. 3:11-15)

The diaspora is complete and the last of the Jews return to the land “not leaving any behind” (Ezek. 39:28)

The Tribulation/Day of the Lord Begins: (Jeremiah 30:7; Rev. 6:1-3)

Revival of the Roman Empire, 10 nation confederacy formed. (Dan. 7: 24; Rev. 13:1, 17:3)

Rise of Antichrist, (11th king Dan. 7:8, 24; Rev. 13:1-8)

Temple is built (Dan. 9:27, Mat. 24:15, II Thess. 2:4, and Rev. 11:1)

Forty-two months (3.5 years) into the tribulation the peace treaty with Israel is broken. Antichrist enters the Holy of Holies and declares himself to be God, Abomination of Desolation, beginning the Great Tribulation (Dan 7:23; 2 Thess. 2:4; Matt. 24:21)

Antichrist sets up government of revived Roman Empire, world economic system, and world religion (Dan. 7:24; Rev. 13:5-8, 15-17, 17:16-17).

Christians and Jews who refuse the mark of the beast are martyred, no one may buy or sell without the mark (Rev. 7:9-17, 13:15-16)

Catastrophic divine judgments represented by 7 seals (Rev. 6:1-17) 7 trumpets (Rev. 8:1-13) and 7 bowls (Rev. 16:1-21) poured out on the earth.

Jews recognize Jesus as Messiah (Zechariah 12:10, Acts 9:18)

Babylon is destroyed: Former headquarters of Antichrist prior to moving his headquarters to Israel during the battle of Armageddon (Rev. 18).

Battle of Armageddon begins – Four Power Blocs:

  • King of the North: re-formed Syria, Iraq, Russia, Iran, Turkey (Ezek. 38:1-6)
  • King of the South: Egypt, North Africa, (Dan. 11:36-39, 11:40)
  • Western Alliance, Beast Army of Antichrist – revived Roman Empire (Psalm 2:1-4, Rev.16:14, 19:19)
  • Kings of the East – China South East Asia (Rev. 16:12)

Battle concludes with Christ and His armies at the hill of Megiddo (Isaiah 63:1-3; Dan. 11:40-45; Rev. 9:13-21, 16:12-16).

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Rev. 19:6-9)

Jesus returns form Edom with His garment stained red (Isaiah 63:1-3; Rev. 19:13-15)

Second coming of Jesus Christ (Matt. 24:27-31; Rev. 19:11-21)

Satan bound for 1000 years (Rev. 20:1-3)

Resurrection of Tribulation saints and Old Testament saints (Dan. 12:2; Rev 20:4)

Millennium Kingdom begins (Rev. 20:5-6)

Final rebellion at the end of the Millennium (Rev. 20:7-10)

The Great White Throne judgment: judgment of sinners (Rev. 20:11-15)

Eternity begins, new heaven, new earth, New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:1-2)
