Chapter 10 – Major Events of Unfulfilled Prophecy

Damascus is destroyed in one night (Isa. 17:1, 14)

A coalition of 7 Arab nations marches on Israel (Ps. 83:1-8)

Israel is victorious (Psalm 83:9-12), the war ends, and Israel becomes an exceedingly great army (Ezek. 37:10)

Israel dwells securely (false peace); the wall of separation comes down (Ezek. 38:11)

Gog Magog alliance: Russia (Iran/Turkey/North Africa) launch a surprise attack to take plunder (Ezek. 38:1-6, 12)

God intervenes (Ezek. 38:18-23) no nation comes to Israel’s defense – God turns the nations against each other in confusion

Jews recognize God’s hand in victory “from that day forward”, return to covenant relationship and demand a temple (Ezek. 39:22)

Rapture of the Church and Bema Seat Judgment (Romans 11:25; 1 Thess. 4:15-18; 2 Cor. 5:10)

Israel’s blindness is removed (Rom. 11:25)

The diaspora is complete and the House of David returns to the land “not leaving any behind” (Ezek. 39:28)

The Tribulation/Day of the Lord Begins: (Jeremiah 30:7; Rev. 6:1-3)

Revival of the Roman Empire, 10 nation confederacy formed. (Dan. 7:24; Rev. 13:1, 17:3)

Rise of Antichrist, (11th king/Little Horn): Dan. 7:8, 24; Rev. 13:1-8)

Temple is built (Dan. 9:27; Mat. 24:15; 2 Thess. 2:4; Rev. 11:1)

Forty-two months (3.5 years) into the tribulation, the peace treaty with Israel is broken. Antichrist enters the Holy of Holies and declares himself to be God, Abomination of Desolation, beginning the Great Tribulation (Dan 9:27; 2 Thess. 2:4; Matt. 24:21)

Jesus warns the Jews in Judea to flee to the mountains (Matthew 24:15-16)

Antichrist sets up government of revived Roman Empire, world economic system, and world religion (Dan. 7:24; Rev. 13:5-8, 11-17, 17:16-17)

No one may buy or sell without a mark on their right hand or forehead – those who refuse the mark of the beast are martyred (Rev.13:15-17)

Catastrophic divine judgments represented by 7 seals (Rev. 6:1-17) 7 trumpets (Rev. 8:1-13) and 7 bowls (Rev. 16:1-21) are poured out on the earth

Battle of Armageddon begins – Four Power Blocs:

  • King of the North: Re-formed Gog Magog including Lebanon, Syria, (Ezek. 38:1-6; Dan.11:40)
  • King of the South: Egypt, North Africa, (Dan. 11:40)
  • Western Alliance, Beast Army of Antichrist – revived Roman Empire (Psalm 2:1-4; Dan. 11:40; Rev.16:14, 19:19)
  • Kings of the East – China, India, South East Asia. including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan (Rev. 16:12)

 

Jesus goes to Edom (mountains – southern Jordan) His robe is stained red (Isa. 63:1-3, Obad. 1:18)

Jews (house of David) recognize Jesus as Messiah (Zechariah 12:10; Acts 9:18)

“And all Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26)

Battle concludes with Christ and His armies at the hill of Megiddo; Dan. 11:40-45; Rev. 19:13-16)

Babylon is destroyed: Former headquarters of Antichrist prior to moving his headquarters to Israel during the battle of Armageddon (Rev. 18:1-3)

The Church prepares to return with Christ/Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Rev. 19:6-9)

Triumphal Second Coming of Jesus Christ – the beast and his armies are defeated (Matt. 24:27-31; Rev. 19:11-21)

Satan bound for 1000 years (Rev. 20:1-3)

Resurrection of Tribulation saints and Old Testament saints (Dan. 12:2; Rev 20:4)

Millennial Kingdom Begins (Rev. 20:5-6)

Final rebellion at the end of the Millennium (Rev. 20:7-10)

The Great White Throne judgment: judgment of sinners (Rev. 20:11-15)

Eternity begins, new heaven, new earth, New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:1-2)
