Chapter 7: The Last Wars in Prophecy “Come, and let us wipe them out from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” Psalm 83:4 The last view of Ishmael’s descendants in prophecy is found in Psalm 83. In approximately 1000 BC, the Temple priest Asaph prophesied an alliance of nations to attack Israel that is still unfulfilled as of this writing. “Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You: The tents of Edom the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagrites; Gebal, Ammon , and Amalek; Philistia (Gaza) with the inhabitants of Tyre ; Assyria also has joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot.” (emphasis added) Psalm 83:1-8. Psalm 83:13 indicates a great victory: “O my God, make them like the whirling dust, Like the chaff before the wind!” Ps. 83:13 The Psalm 83 Alliance Today – Edom
