The Times of Israel: “Obama called the Jordanian monarch “a great partner” and a “great friend” of the US, and praised him for enacting a series of pro-democratic, entrepreneurial reforms.
“We think Jordan can be an extraordinary model for effective governance in the region,” Obama said to reporters before beginning his private meeting with Abdullah.”
Opinion: Bible prophecy, like the gospel, is a free gift to those who will accept it. Foolish men will not. Jordan will supply one of the largest armies that will attack Israel in what may well be a pre-tribulation war.
The Jewish Temple priest Asaph, writing in 1000 BC, foretold (Psalm 83:1-8) a war that has not happened, yet. Jordan’s is represented by three regions that will attack Israel in the last days:
1. Edom: Southern Jordan was the home of Esau and his tribe (Edomites) and descendants. God has sworn to destroy them all (Psalm 83:13-18).
2. Moab: Central Jordan, was the home of one of Lot’s sons (both sons were born out of incestuous relationships with his daughters , (Genesis 19:30-38).
3. Ammon: Northern Jordan was the home of Lot’s other son, who was then as he is today, an enemy of the Israelites.
The remaining armies are the Ishmaelites (Saudi Arabia); the Hagrites (Egypt); Gebal (Northern Lebanon), Amalek (Sinai); Philistia (Gaza, Hamas) the inhabitants of Tyre (Southern Lebanon, Hezbollah); Assyria (Syria, Northern Iraq). “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
Politically, the war looks imminent; biblically, it is an absolute and the outcome is a certainty (Obadiah 1:18).
