Breaking Israel News: The violent, ongoing conflict between Egypt and the Islamic State currently raging in the Sinai is a reenactment of the Biblical confrontation between Israel and Amalek, even taking place on the same battlefield, pointed out a military analyst who has turned to the Bible to make sense of current events.
Exodus tells of the legendary battle between Amalek, the ancestral enemy of the Jewish people, and the Israelites, which took place in a place called Rephidim, located in the Egyptian desert. more …
Opinion: Want to know something funny? After writing about Amalek for six years, I am not sure where to begin.
The life of Amalek characterizes the beginning of terrorism. Amalek accomplished what his grandfather Esau only dreamed of – killing descendants of his brother Jacob.
Amalek is well known to observant Jews, a handful of prophecy teachers and students, but relatively unknown to most Christians.
Most of the details on Amalek’s reign of terror are found in extra-Biblical accounts of the Talmud, Midrash and Oral Torah.
The Oral tradition was transmitted from father to son and from teacher to disciple. According to the Jewish website Chabad:
“Approximately 1800 years ago, Rabbi Judah the Prince concluded that because of all the travails of Exile, the Oral Law would be forgotten if it would not be recorded on paper. He, therefore, assembled the scholars of his generation and compiled the Mishnah, a (shorthanded) collection of all the oral teachings that preceded him. Since then, the Oral Law has ceased to be “oral” and as time passed more and more of the previously oral tradition was recorded.”
And there is the rub. Most Christian pastors rejected our book ‘Antichrist: The Search for Amalek’, because of extra-Biblical references. Rejections, or even worse, zero responses, were the norm.
Undeterred, I wrote a second book which is freely available on the home page of this site, just to get message out. In addition we are rewriting parts of the original book to add another Antichrist character and a new ending.
We should have it available by mid-summer.
Over the past eight years there has been a discussion about identifying the root of terrorism. Our last president, like so many world leaders, stood by the mantra that Islam and terror have no connection.
- Barack Obama: “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.”
- Hillary Clinton “Islam has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism”
- Pope Francis: ““I think it is not right to identity Islam with violence, this is not right and this is not true.”
In fact, most people I come across think terrorism began in 1948 because of the rebirth of Israel. Others think it began after World War I with Britain designating land for a Jewish state with land taken from the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.
My research has found that terrorism began 3500 years ago in one man named Amalek, and according to the Jewish prophets it will continue until the second coming of Messiah Jesus.
Prior to releasing the latest edition of the book we are laying groundwork for different venues. We are reaching out to people connected with Christian organizations that are teaching prophecy, and we are working on making contacts with a company that produces documentaries.
I hope to share the hypothesis that Amalek’s descendants are the ones making the most mayhem in the world, and that when God says that He will have war with him in every generation (Exodus 17:16), He means it, literally.
“For the life of a creature is in the blood …” Leviticus 17:11.
