US Support For Saudi War In Yemen Soars Under Trump

Al Monitor: The Pentagon more than doubled US refueling support for the Saudi-led mission in Yemen over the past year, a spokeswoman told Al-Monitor, despite mounting public and congressional concerns about the operation.

Amid a worsening humanitarian crisis in the war-torn country, the US Department of Defense provided about 480,000 gallons of aviation fuel to the mission at a cost of more than $1 million in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, a 140% increase over the previous year. The disclosure comes as Yemen suffers the world’s worst cholera epidemic and the Saudis face international pressure to lift their blockade of the country’s ports.

“This revelation should be a wake-up call to every policymaker and every American that this country is literally fueling the largest humanitarian crisis in the world and the worst cholera outbreak in recorded history.” more …

Opinion: With the global market and particularly the oil price virtually ignoring it, a possible three-front war is developing in the Middle East.

A conversation with a friend yesterday may explain: “Mid-East war is nothing new”, he said.

But what is very new is that there is a 32-year-old king about to be crowned in Saudi Arabia who is going to great lengths to show the world that a strong man has arrived on the scene, with the backing and support of an equally strong man president of the US.

There is a humanitarian crisis in Yemen being made worse by a Saudi naval and air blockade, and a major Hezbollah incursion taking place on Israel’s northern border that is being supported by Iran and ignored by Russia.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has been very clear about his intentions to stop any Hezbollah/Iranian advance on Israel’s northern border, and a distinct possibility exists that he and Trump will openly support the Saudis in a war.

I have said before that a Saudi/Israeli/US war vs. Iran is not found in prophecy, but the cementing of Russia/Iranian ties certainly fits Gog/Magog, as does a weakening of US and Saudi strength.
