JPost: The General Assembly voted 176-7 on Tuesday to affirm the Palestinian right to self-determination, one day after Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas pledged to renew his quest for state membership in the international body.
The vote is nonbinding and has no impact beyond underscoring international support for Palestinian statehood among most of the UN’s 193 members.
The United States, Canada and Israel were among the seven that opposed the text; four states abstained. more …
Opinion: Oh but the vote was indeed binding and had great impact upon the King of the Universe:
“Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.” Ps. 2:1-3
The Lord God Almighty is His name and His people who are called by His name are being slandered by the nations:
“He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure ...” Ps. 2:3-4
Last week I sent an old friend, who happens to be a progressive Jewish college professor, the astounding video we posted by Kuwaiti writer on the status of Jerusalem as the legitimate capital of Israel.
I included in the email my 50 year timeline on the rebirth of Israel (here) that we first published three years ago in Antichrist: The Search for Amalek.
My friend wrote back: “On my end, I don’t know, and know that I don’t know. I listen. And I am grateful you shared the piece with me”.
My next email today will be a brief paper on the Biblical side (here).
How many more need us?
