JNS: If the attacks against the Jewish state caused by arson terrorists in Gaza over the last three months were being launched at any other country, the international media would be giving it a lot of attention, Haley said, noting that the damaged land in Israel, a tiny country, is proportionally equal to 10 times the land area of Paris.
.@USUN Amb. Haley: The terrorist flaming swastika kites that have crossed over from Gaza into #Israel have damaged or destroyed 7,500 acres of land…10 times the entire land area of Paris. If it was happening to any of our countries, there’d be quite a lot of discussion on it. pic.twitter.com/77EMmbCpws

Opinion: Intifadas (Arab uprisings)
Esau’s (descendants) attacks against his brother Jacob, who is Israel (Gen. 36:10), are from time immemorial:
- Exodus 17: 8-18, 1490 BC Amalekites attack Israelites at the Red Sea
- Numbers 20:14-21 Esau’s descendants refused to give Jacob’s descendants passage through their border
- Obadiah 1:10-14 600 BC – Edomites help Babylonians destroy Solomon’s temple – turning in any Israelites who escaped.
- Esther 3:1-15: 400 BC – Haman, a descendant of Amalek, devised a plan to wipe out all the Jews of Persia (Iran)
Modern day intifadas
The First Intifada began on December 6, 1985. An Israeli citizen was stabbed to death while shopping in the Gaza Strip, which had been under Israeli control since the 1967 war. One day later, four Arab youths were killed in a car accident in Jabalya (northern Gaza).
Rumors spread that the accident was a revenge killing, and three days later an Arab youth was killed by an Israeli soldier after throwing a Molotov cocktail at an Israeli army patrol.
The violence that erupted was led by Yasser Arafat’s Fatah party. Joining in on the
mayhem were the Popular Front, the Democratic Front, and the Palestine Communist Party.
After four years of violence, including 3,600 Molotov cocktails, 100 hand grenades, and 600 assaults, the death toll reached 1,100 Arabs, 1,400 Israeli citizens, and 1,700 Israeli soldiers.
The second intifada began with prime minister Ariel Sharon’s visit to the Al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount in 2000, and the bloodshed continued until 2005. Arafat’s motive to inflict as much cruelty as possible became apparent when his band of thugs turned their attention to murdering women and children.
In the time span of five years (2000-2005) the Arab-Palestinian death toll was 4,281 dead, of which 2,038 were civilians. The Israeli death toll was 1,137 Israelis dead and 8,341 wounded. Of the wounded, 5,676 were civilians while 2,665 were security forces. The majority of casualties were caused by suicide bombers from the terror groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
The Knife intifada of 2015-16 replaced suicide bombings and random shootings as the new tool for Palestinians waging jihad on Israel. PA leaders called for Palestinians, young and old, to take up their kitchen knives as weapons: 31 Israeli citizens have been killed and 558 wounded.
The knife intifada was followed by the rock throwing and car ramming sub-intifada that has now morphed into an incendiary balloon intifada.
The world has grown accustomed to the violence against the Jewish people, but the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has not (Deuteronomy 32:35; Jeremiah 31:35-36).
