Jewish Press: During the demonstration against the Nationality Law on Saturday night in Tel Aviv, Im Tirtzu activists recorded Israeli Arabs shouting, “With spirit and blood we’ll redeem you, Palestine,” “Rest in peace, martyr, we continue in your path,” “Israel is a terrorist state,” and “An Arab Palestine from the sea to the River Jordan.”
Opinion: How surreal that the Palestinians have convinced the world that they are a legitimate people.
God made two unconditional covenants with Abraham.
Genesis 12:2-3 “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing, I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Palestinian or land covenant:
Genesis 17:7-8 “And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
The Palestinian covenant does not get its name from the Bible. It was given its name because the land in question is located in what is today known as Israel. The word itself derives from “Peleshet”, a name that appears frequently in the Bible and has come into English as “Philistine”. The Philistines were Mediterranean people originating from Asia Minor and Greek localities. They reached the southern coast of Israel in several waves.
They were not Arab.
Yasser Arafat, one of the most cunning killers of Jewish people in the 20th century, capitalized on the name, calling Jordanian, Syrian and Egyptian refugees left over from Israel’s 1948 war of independence, Palestinians.
None of the 22 Arab states will allow the Arab (Palestinian) refugees citizenship keeping these hapless people as permanent pawns in a 3500 year old feud that will lead to the final wars of this age.
Try not to laugh when you tell people it began over a bowl of soup, Genesis 25:29-34.
