AP News: In a striking anonymous broadside, a senior Trump administration official wrote an opinion piece in The New York Times on Wednesday claiming to be part of a group of people “working diligently from within” to impede President Donald Trump’s “worst inclinations” and ill-conceived parts of his agenda.
Trump said it was a “gutless editorial” and “really a disgrace,” and his press secretary called on the official to resign.
Trump later tweeted, “TREASON?” and in an extraordinary move demanded that if “the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must, for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once!” more …
Opinion: The NYT article broke yesterday around 4:30 PM: “Saboteur in the White House”. I had to read that a few times to let it sink in. I posted it in ‘Today’s headlines’ and waited to see what the fallout would be. This is a first for me. In all the thousands of posts over the past 7 years I cannot recall anything like it.
Our friend Vason texted me last night calling it a scam that could be connected to the release of Bob Woodward’s book last weekend “Fear“.
CNN: “The battle lines have been drawn. On one side, President Donald Trump and his allies and enablers. On the other, Bob Woodward, hundreds of hours of taped interviews and dozens of sources and a book that reads as a comprehensive indictment of Trump’s first 19 months in office.
My response is that if this is any indication of how the November mid-term election is going to play out, we all need to get ready for a really chaotic and possibly dangerous election.
It is a good time to remember two Bible passages that we posted on election day 2016:
God appoints kings:
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
21 And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise” Daniel 2:20-21
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves” Romans 13:1-2
