Jewish Press: Arab leaders met Sunday in Tunis to express support for the so-called “two-state solution” and to discuss U.S. President Donald Trump’s declaration formally recognizing the Golan Heights as part of Israeli territory.
Saudi Arabia’s King Salman said at the conference that he “totally rejects” any move that would affect Syria’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and reiterated Riyadh’s support for the establishment of a Palestinian state with “East Jerusalem” as its capital.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said, “There is no solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict without the liberation of all the occupied Arab lands,” according to Associated Press, as quoted by the Hebrew-language weekly Maariv newspaper. more …
Opinion: This two state solution issue has been the subject of hundreds of posts over the years. Our post from April 2013:
“You see, the whole premise of a two state solution is a lie. Mahmoud Abbas is following in the footsteps of his boss and mentor, Yasser Arafat, the father of modern day terrorism.
“We plan to eliminate the state of Israel and establish a purely Palestinian state. We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion. . . . We Palestinians will take over everything, including all of Jerusalem.” Yasser Arafat 1996″
Nothing has changed. Mahmoud Abbas was Arafat’s deputy who helped arrange the financing for the Munich Olympic Massacre of 1972, two intifadas under Arafat, and the stabbing intifada of 2015 that continues today.
The Golan, Biblical Beshan(mentioned 28 times in the Hebrew Bible), was one of the cities the Israelites under Joshua were instructed by God to conquer over 3500 years ago (see Joshua 20:8).
There will be no peace in the Middle East until a false 7 year peace is confirmed (Daniel 9:27) with Israel and her neighbors. That peace treaty will take place after the Holy Spirit and the Church He comforts is taken (Rapture) out of the way:
“For the mystery of lawlessness (Satan/anti-Christ) is already at work; only He who now restrains (Holy Spirit) will do so until He is taken out of the way (Rapture of the Church). And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8.
Then, and only then, will a lasting peace come to the Middle East.
