Yahoo News: An Arizona company developing a new type of high-altitude, long-range surveillance platform just completed a 16-day mission during which massive balloons floated over four western U.S. states, all part of an effort to someday keep them aloft for months at a time.
World View Enterprises Inc. builds what it calls Stratollites, a system designed to offer the type of coverage satellites afford but without the need to launch incredibly expensive rockets into space. Effectively unmanned balloons, the untethered platforms operate with surveillance equipment payloads of as much as 220 pounds (100 kg) at altitudes of 50,000 feet to 75,000 feet, far above commercial air traffic.
They will be able to monitor mines, pipelines, transit infrastructure—and perhaps the contents of your fenced-off backyard—in hyper-accurate detail. more …
Opinion: I was in a Bible prophecy study group a few years ago, where several participants were convinced that the saved church will suffer the same fate as those who rejected the pardon for sin that the cross of Jesus Christ provides. That all will go through the Tribulation, but believers will be protected from the the worst persecution the world has ever known (Matthew 24:21).
Quoting Scripture (Rom. 5:9; 1 Thess. 1:10, 5:9; Rev. 3:10) had absolutely no effect on their thinking, and instead one compared Daniel’s three friends (Dan.3:8-30) in the furnace as how Jesus would protect the church. That Daniel was conspicuously absent during the persecution, as the church will be, was dismissed with no answer.
Believers in post-trib rapture typically stockpile a garage full of supplies they think will enable them to ride out 7 years of of persecution.
- That believers will be protected from 21 judgments (Revelation 6-16) that get progressively worse until 2/3 of the world is killed
- That no one will know their whereabouts or be suspicious that while the world is starving, they will be cooking and heating up their freeze-dried foods on solar ovens
- And that no one, not even the sophisticated surveillance of the False prophet security force which forces everyone to take a mark (Rev. 13:16-17), will find them out
- Some even point to Matthew 24:13, those that survive to the end will be saved, which is a clear misinterpretation of the Gospel (Ephesians 2:8-9) and meant only for Jews who will come to Christ at the end of the tribulation and second coming:
“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.” Zechariah 12:10.
Pre-Trib rapture teaches that the Church of Jesus Christ will not be on earth (1 Cor. 15:51 -52; 1 Thess. 4:16-18) for the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7). Jacob is Israel (Genesis 30:10), not the church.
