JOL: Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu is seeking a public statement from President Donald Trump to support an Israeli initiative to expand Israel’s sovereignty over settlements in the West Bank, according to officials at the prime minister’s office.
Netanyahu would like such a commitment to be made before the Israeli general elections on September 17th.
While the prime minister can not himself make the diplomatic decision to extend Israeli sovereignty to the settlements as he heads the current government, his office is pushing for Trump’s public support. This would allow Netanyahu to credibly guarantee his constituents that he can and will quickly apply sovereignty if he is again elected prime minister. more …
Opinion: And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Luke 21;24
Israel’s prime minister and every prime minister before him had to get the support/permission of a gentile US president in order to make decisions about Israel’s land.
The times of the Gentiles began with the Babylonian capture of Jerusalem in 586 BC, and what is astounding is that the descendants of Esau were there to help Nebuchadnezzar’s army, in the same way they are there in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) today (Malachi 1:5; Obadiah 1:6-8 ).
Obadiah 1:6 warns his readers “Oh, how Esau shall be searched out!” that Esau’s cunning and deceit is hidden and not easy to identify, whereas Jacob is easily identified.
Obadiah 1:7 clarifies “Those who eat your bread shall lay a trap for you. No one is aware of it” that Esau will be as one of the Jews, like Judas, who will turn in any Jews who try to escape.
Obadiah 1:8 The Lord then pronounces judgment “Will I not in that day,” says the Lord,
“Even destroy the wise men from Edom, And understanding from the mountains of Esau?
“For violence against your brother Jacob,
Shame shall cover you,
And you shall be cut off forever.“ Obadiah 1:10
The times of the Gentiles will end with the destruction of Esau (Isaiah 63:1-3) and the triumphant return of Jesus Christ when He rules and reigns for 1000 years (Revelation 20:1-2).
