Preface To hear progressive politicians speak about peace in the Middle East, one could get the impression that the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians began in 1948. One by one, world leaders advance the worn-out idea that the solution to the problem is for two states to live side by side in peace and prosperity. That one state will not acknowledge the other state’s legitimate existence is of no concern. That one state wants to flood the other state the size of Rhode Island with up to 13 million refugees is of no concern. That two states have been established for two people for almost 100 years, is ignored by every world leader, except for President Donald J. Trump. There has never been, nor will there ever be again, another conflict like the one between Israel and her neighbors. The conflict is from time immemorial. It is the model of all terrorism in the world today and it will not be solved by mere men.
